Mechanism of Action
Thymosin beta-4 (Tβ4) is a 43-amino acid G-actin-sequestering peptide; TB-500 corresponds to its central actin-binding motif (LKKTETQ). In cultured cells and rodent models Tβ4 has been reported to regulate actin polymerization, promote cell migration, and modulate inflammatory signaling, effects that have been studied in dermal, corneal, and cardiac injury models. Reconstitution & Storage
Lyophilized TB-500 is stable at −20°C or colder in its sealed vial; −80°C is preferable for long-term archival. Reconstitute in bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol) to a laboratory working concentration of 1–5 mg/mL for in vitro use.
