Description

BPC-157

BPC-157 is a stable 15-amino acid gastric pentadecapeptide. Preclinical research explores its potent cytoprotective and tissue repair properties across multiple organ systems.

Key Research Areas

  • • Studied for broad cytoprotective effects and accelerated repair in gastrointestinal, tendon, and muscle injury models.
  • • Investigated for promotion of angiogenesis and cell migration during tissue healing and remodeling processes.
  • • Explored for anti-inflammatory actions and support of extracellular matrix organization in injury and inflammatory models.

Mechanism of Action

In preclinical models, BPC-157 has been reported to modulate the nitric oxide pathway and influence angiogenic signaling through VEGFR-2 upregulation. Its cytoprotective activity has been observed across gastrointestinal, tendon, and musculoskeletal tissue in rodent studies. These observations are drawn from in vitro assays and animal models and have not been evaluated in controlled human trials.

Reconstitution & Storage

Lyophilized BPC-157 is stable at −20°C or colder in its sealed vial; −80°C is preferable for long-term archival. Reconstitute in bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol) to a typical working concentration of 1–5 mg/mL. Once reconstituted, refrigerate at 2–8°C and use within approximately 30 days. Aliquot into single-use vials at reconstitution to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the working solution. Every batch ships with a third-party Certificate of Analysis; request the analytical file for your batch at /coa.

Research Use Only

For research use only. Not intended for human or veterinary consumption, therapeutic use, dietary supplementation, cosmetic use, or clinical application. Not FDA-approved. Purchasers confirm the material will be used solely for in vitro laboratory research and not administered to humans or animals.
