AOD-9604 5mg
AOD-9604 Reconstitution Notice & Disclaimer: AOD-9604 is supplied as a lyophilized powder and requires careful reconstitution for research use. Due to its hydrophobic nature and pH-sensitive solubility, AOD-9604 tends to gel, become cloudy, or form aggregates without proper low-pH conditions.
Included with Purchase: Each order includes a 3mL vial of Acetic Acid 0.6% solution to aid reconstitution.
Recommended Reconstitution (for a standard 5mg vial):
- Allow the lyophilized AOD-9604 vial and your 0.6% acetic acid solution to reach room temperature before mixing (approximately 68–77°F). Avoid using cold (refrigerated) components directly, as temperature gradients can increase the risk of immediate gelling during dissolution.
- Use the provided 0.6% acetic acid solution to achieve full dissolution—add it slowly along the vial wall.
- Gently swirl—do not shake vigorously, as excessive agitation can promote gelling or solidification.
- For optimal results, reduced long-term viscosity issues, and better multi-dose handling, many researchers dilute further with bacteriostatic water after initial dissolution with acetic acid (common ratios: 1 part acetic acid to 2 parts bacteriostatic water, e.g., 1ml acetic acid + 2ml bacteriostatic water).
- To further mitigate the gelling issue altogether simply preload all your syringes immediately after reconstitution.
Gelling Behavior: Reconstituted AOD-9604 may naturally develop increased viscosity, cloudiness, or gel formation—even with 0.6% acetic acid—especially in high-purity batches. This is a normal characteristic of the peptide and does not indicate degradation of purity or loss of functionality. If gelling occurs, add a small additional amount of 0.6% acetic acid to restore fluidity.
Storage Notes:
- Store lyophilized powder in a cool, dry place at room temperature, protected from light.
- Once reconstituted, refrigerate (36–46°F) and protect from light; use promptly for best results in research applications.
No Replacements for Improper Handling: We do not replace or refund AOD-9604 due to gelling, cloudiness, aggregation, contamination, or other issues resulting from reconstitution errors, use of incorrect/non-provided solvents, excessive agitation, improper storage (including temperature mishandling), or multi-use contamination risks.
